Experience


Mr. Matula has over seventeen years experience as both a construction superintendent and construction inspector for buildings, pumping plants and commercial developments of varying sizes.

 

As an Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Matula oversaw the control staking, material takeoffs and scheduling for an eight acre Office Park, and a 69000 square foot commercial development.

 

He served as construction superintendent for a conversion of a warehouse into office and printing facility. His duties included selective demolition, cast in place concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems. He provided superintendence for the construction of a two story office complex and a retail development.

 

Mr. Matula has served as a construction inspector for highly complex projects including major pumping facility for the Velasco Drainage District, Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion for Angleton and the CPS 1 site development for Port Freeport. He has also provided inspection on several site development projects including Office Max, Starplex Theater, IHOP and area subdivisions.

Career Record


       Superintendent - 43,000 s.f. Retail Development on 5 acre site. Scope of Project consisted of site work, drilled footings, cast in place reinforced concrete, built up roofing, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, drywall construction, painting and flooring. Manage field engineer, in-house forces and Subcontractors. Complete project to Owner Occupancy.

 

       Superintendent - Complete construction on 76,400 square foot. two story office complex on 2.5 acre site. Project consisted of structural steel framing, brick veneer, glass curtain wall construction, elevator, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Complete punch list items and turn over to Owner.

 

       Superintendent - Conversion of 25,000 square foot. warehouse into 10,000 square foot. Office and 15,000 square foot. Commercial Printing Facility. Project consisted of selective demolition, cast in place concrete, structural steel framing, drywall construction, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, painting and flooring. Project required extensive coordination in order to adapt existing equipment into new Facility. Complete construction and turn over to Owner.

 

       Assistant Superintendent - Office Park Complex consisting of twelve individual buildings and parking facilities on 8 acre site. Duties included establishing and maintaining horizontal and vertical control, maintain as-built drawings, supervise in-house forces, material takeoffs, and scheduling of concrete placements.

 

       Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Retail Development consisting of 69,000 s.f. Shopping Center and attached Lease Space. Duties included field engineering, quantity takeoffs and supervising in-house forces. Completed project to Owner Occupancy.
